What to expect
Custom Orthotics
JointAction Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre offers custom orthotic assessments designed to help relieve foot, knee, hip or lower back pain. Your therapist will perform a gait assessment and discuss whether orthotics would be appropriate for your injury/pain or condition. Your therapist will discuss the findings of the gait assessment and scan and recommend any adjustments/features that should be added to your orthotics. These features are added, removed or adjusted to provide you with the best biomechanical adjustment designed to improve your symptoms.
Most Extended Health Care plans cover Custom Orthotics. If you are unsure, we can help you determine if your insurance plan covers your Custom Orthotics. Contact us for more information.
Bracing/Custom Bracing
JointAction Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre professionals may recommend a brace or custom brace designed to relieve your symptoms or support your joint/injury as the structures heal. Your family doctor or surgeon may also recommend you obtain a brace following an injury or surgery. We will assess your injury or condition and recommend an appropriate brace for you.
Some Extended Health Care plans cover Braces and/or Custom Bracing. If you are unsure, we can help you determine if your insurance plan covers the Brace you need. Contact us for more information.
Compression socks/stockings
ointAction Physiotherapy & Wellness Centre professionals and/or your doctor may recommend Compression Socks/Stockings designed to relieve your symptoms or support a pre-existing condition you may have. We will measure and recommend the appropriate type of Compression Socks/Stockings best suited for your injury/pain/condition. Conditions that may benefit from Compression Socks/Stockings include: Calf/leg aches and pain, varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency.
